Join NACHAMS

A community for Church historians and Missiologists

NACHAMS welcomes scholars, Church leaders, students and institutions who share its commitment to the study of Church History and Missiology in Nigeria. Members must be at least 18 years of age and agree to abide by the Constitution of the Association.

As a member, you join a national network of researchers and teachers, take part in the conferences and meetings of the Association, and help to shape its work for the Church and the nation.

Open to all who qualify

Membership is open irrespective of status, gender, ethnic affiliation, religious or political belief.

Membership Categories

Choose the category that fits you

Individual Members

Nigerian citizens who are lecturers in tertiary institutions, or distinguished Church leaders or missionaries, of good character, wherever they live.

Institutional Members

Departments of Religious Studies, Missiology and Theology in tertiary institutions, and Christian or religious organisations in Nigeria.

Associate Members

Students of Church History, Missiology, Theology and other areas of Religious Studies.

Honorary Members and Patrons

Conferred by the Association, on the recommendation of the Executive Committee and endorsement of the AGM, on persons who have made outstanding contributions to the field.

Annual dues are payable from 1 January each year. Fees are set by the Annual General Meeting and may be reviewed from time to time. Payment details are provided by the National Secretariat when your application is accepted.

How to Join

Four steps to membership

1. Complete the form

Complete the membership application form below, or collect a printed form from the National Secretariat.

2. Proposer and seconder

Your application must be proposed by one member of the Association and seconded by another. Associate members apply by letter to the Secretary-General.

3. Submit your application

Send your completed application to the Secretary-General through the National Secretariat.

4. Confirmation

Once your application is accepted, the Secretary-General will notify you in writing, and you pay the registration fee.
